Market Replay is brutally slow

When choosing market replay, it takes an extremely long time to load. Why is that so? NT frozen, spinning cursor.

How much data are you loading?

1 year? 2 years? how many instruments?

Mine has gotten slower over the last 2 years as my database has grown.

maybe they should start it a month back, and then if you want to expand beyond that, that's your choice still.

Well, it turns out that I have over two years of data. If that's the case, how do I tell it to NOT load up that much data? It takes about 5-8 minutes then I see the beg. and end dates, I switch to say one week of data, and it takes another 5-8 minutes to see the result, if I'm lucky. I've had to kill process so far at that stage, I have not been able to actually use market replay this week.

Probably gonna have to waste the db and rebuild. It's a shame I have all this data but right now I can't access it 'cause it take too painfully long to load the data.

too slow for NT7 replay

I am new to NT 7. I noticed relay is running too slow even at 500x speed. I only have 2 charts open and 4 days instraday data for es. Any suggestions to improve replay speed?

Could you please clarify if there is a large delay with your data loading or if you feel that 500x speed is not fast enough?

Yes I am running some custom indicators. the loading is fine but at 500x speed, chart is barely moving.

What time frame are you using? (5 minute, daily, 600 tick, etc)

I am running replay at daily and 8 min charts and test my trade management module. I would like to see more fast forward speed than 500x allows. There is no error during replay. thanks
