bug of timeshifted trades in strategy analyzer chart pane

    Hi guys,
see screenshot of strategy running on a chart and running on the strategy Analyzer with identical settings.

The trade is basically the same one, but graphically on the SA it is timeshifted and displaying incorrectly.

    Cheers,

Hi saltminer, I suppose you're running on the latest R8 build here?

Is this reproducible for you even after a fresh restart of NT?

In that could we please reproduce here with your strategy to have development look into further?

You can reply to the ticket we've been working on already for the other issue you ran into.

    Thanks.

It may be reproducible, here is how it happened....

I don't think the strategy is doing anything in particular to create this situation, all it is doing is a simple additional timeframe of the same instrument (a 1 minute) to create better granularity. I believe it has to do with timezones or timestamps in the price data.
I changed the timezone of the computer while Ninja was closed. I restarted Ninja, and on a chart hit reload all data (while connected to Kinetick) and so all the data became the new timezone.
I thought this would have reloaded the data for the SA as well, but perhaps it doesn't work that way. In any case, the SA took the same trades but as you can see the times of them were off.

      Yes, R8.

Hi saltminer, thanks for the infos - can you please try with a fresh cache as well? To achieve this you would close NT down and delete the sub(!) folders of the Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\cache folder.

I believe yours was then still using the 'old' cached data based on the incorrect timezone then after your change.
