Instrument types

Ive searched through the forum for a solution but nothing seems to work. The only instrument types available is index and stocks, missing futures and the other types. I tried to reset instruments and then just reinstalled NT. Have the latest version. Also would like to get all the default instruments back.

Ok I just disconnected from Ameritrade and left as no connection. Now the types are all available and was able to get ES back in my default list. I guess futures & currencies are not available when connected to Ameritrade?

Uh no, i don't have another open thread with same issue. That was another issue with instrument manager.

Hi zachj,

Sorry for the confusion.

What you see here is related to the provider you connect to. The TD Ameritrade connection available to NinjaTrader supports stock and index data only - as a result, NinjaTrader would hide things like futures and forex instruments.

setup an account with mbtrader..all issues gone
