Requirements for IB demo account?

Hi,

I wanted to test Forex trading with IB demo account ("edemo"). However, the chart does not show any data - not daily, not 5 min... Is this expected? I am confused by NT requirements to use IB - do I need extra data connection (TWS does not - it shows everything just fine)? Do I need "Live" NT license or free version will do for daylies?

Thank you for your note.


The eDemo account is a live only feed and is fake data. It does not have any historical data on it from IB. You would need an account that had historical data on it such as a live account or a demo account created for you from IB that has historical and live data enabled on it.

Yes, absolutely - there should be no problem in loading that data within NinjaTrader.
