chart gaps

hi, if i have a 2 panel chart, with a 5min latest es contract data series on panel 1 and the continuous contract 5min es data series on panel 2 i get gaps in the data when the market is closed eg over the weekend, even if i have both data series set with the same session template of cme us index futures eth. How do i get rid of these gaps in the charts for 2 panel charts?

Hello mgoose,

When using multiple data series, 'Equidistant bar spacing' will be set to False and cannot be changed. This is because the data series share the same time axis.

You could create seperate charts for each data series to exclude the gaps.

Another solution would be creating a custom session template that will exclude the time when the exchange was closed. You can create session templates in the Session Manager. More information can be found at the link below.

Hi Jason, but I am using the session template "cme us index futures eth" which excludes the times when the market is closed and I still get the gaps....

It does not exclude the time when the exchange was closed due to New Years.

That session template starts on Sunday 5:00 PM. Most products did not trade until Tuesday morning.
