i did everything you wrote but its not possible to update or to get a chart.

maybe it depents on the subscription.

i also dont know why i should use nyse because chi-x is in the ib bundle

    "Europe ECN stocks Non-Professional".

    thanks.

o.k. i now have permission for xetra.

ads and bmw are the symbols i did by my selve. i get data and can chart them.

then i created a symbol list with the other 28 stocks of the dax and they have exactly the same parameters like default / xetra ....

but now i get an error message for historical data that i dont have permission to
      SWB STK.

      whats that now?

        Hello unitrade,

The SWB exchange refers to the Stuttgart stock exchange. Likely the stock instruments part of the list you imported are traded on the SWB exchange and not Xetra.

          Hi

you have to use this code in the MAP field for Interactive Brokers:

          BMW|IBIS
          ADS|IBIS
          SAP|IBIS

          etc.

I only found out because i checked out the MAP field for the DAX, there i found

DAX|DTB, while for the DAX Future its is only FDAX

I think this should solve all problems. Even the historical datas will be loaded on this way.

          Have fun.

          Thomas

            hi,

i think nt has a bug.

i tried it a few times on two pc´s but everytime i want to use CON|CHIXDE nt chrashes.

            parameters are:

CON, EURO, default and xetra and for the ib map CON|CHIXDE.

could someone from nt try it?

              Hello,

This is a known limitation regarding the Windows operating system.

There are reserved Windows names which cannot be created in the files system and therefore cannot be created by NinjaTrader.

These reserved windows names are as follows:

              CON, PRN, AUX, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, and LPT9.

                Prn etf

So how do you add the PRN ETF to the instrument list and get it to import data. I can create the PRN instrument in the Instrument Manager, but it won't create a file in the data folder named PRN, and so it can't ever import PRN data.

                  Hello,

Unfortunately any symbol with a reserved windows name will not currently work. This will be resolved in the next major release of NinjaTrader, however we do not have an ETA for support on this item.

                    Prn etf

                    Thanks for the quick feedback.
