NT idle when closing position

    NT idle when closing position

    I wonder if IB and TWS communicate very well between them.

    Sometimes I ge errors on strategies while trading EURUSD on TWS simulation. I go to Positions tab and I flatten everything. When doing this, the system stays idle for several minutes.

    Is this normal?

    Thanks for the note.

    It is normal if you have an IB login with more than one account on it. If you do, for position updates on sub-accounts we needed to round robin these positions updates to get them all and this can take some time to complete.

    If you have just one account on your IB account login you will get instantaneous position updates on that one account.
