Connecting to IB

Connecting....Connecting....timeout!

Err! Trying to log into IB, and it gives me a TWS timeout.

II am on a remote server....Please assist.

Are you able to connect normally to this account when not using a remote server?

It turns out I had to use the older verson of TWS.

I'm having the same connectivity issues with IB. I'm using NT 7.0.1000.6 and IB TWS 920.5 ( This was the oldest IB TWS I could find ). Could you please tell me the version of IB and NT you are using that works for you?

now with the NT 7.0.1000.8 version, can we update to the newest TWS version or need we still use the TWS 917?
