invalid instrument on "ES 03-12"

Is the symbol "ES 03-12" in correct format? I can't load it I am using kinetick on ninja 7.0.1000.7

Yes ES 03-12 is the correct format.

Can you load the ES 12-11 contract from Kinetick?

What steps did you take to roll over to the 03-12?

Please follow the instructions below to rollover the expiration date of a futures contracts.

• From within the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Instrument Manager
• Highlight the contract you wish to rollover in the left side of the Instrument Manager window
• Press the ">" button (the instrument will disappear from the list)
• Press the "<" button and the instrument should re-appear with the front month expiration date

So, did you mean that i won't get any data just by typing in "ES 03-12" in the chart without doing the rollover steps?

Hello,

You should be able to load data, however if this is not working I would suggest rolling over the symbol from the Instrument Manager to ensure you are loading the correct contract.

Looks like I have to do the rollover steps. After I did the steps, I can load the data by just typing in "ES 03-12". What I don't understand is why designed this way. It takes some time the manually rollover all the symbols
