Continuous contracts

Is there a specific symbol for a continuous and most active contract. If so, what would it be for ES and CL?

Thanks for your post.

In NinjaTrader, you'll still be using the standard symbol but the expiry used would be ##-##. In the case of ES, the symbol would be ES ##-##.
