    Increments differ from expected

    Hello!

It may be stupid but I don't get the following.

I'm preparing to trade ES (EUR/USD e-mini) and simulate the stuff to get the right understanding of the math.

I've bought and sold 1 contract with the profit of 0.0001 as per euro increment (I think it should cost $6.25 as the contract price is $62500).

Instead the result of the trade was $12.5 (I turned off commissions in PnL) in account statement.

    What do I get wrong?

    Kind regards,

    Serge

      Hello Serge,

You likely traded the 6E which is not the e-mini contract but the regular one. The 6E has a PnL of $12.5 per tick.

The M6E is the e-mini contract. However it has a profit of $1.25 per tick - not $6.25. You can find it in the Instrument Manager.

        Hello, Jason

Thank you. I'm glad I'd decided to check it before the real trade was made.

        Serge
