Please ensure you have previously loaded these workspaces so they show up in the File > Workspaces menu at the bottom.

Also, I am unable to replicate the instrument not changing when I shift workspaces. What version of NinjaTrader do you have? You can check in Help > About.

In the workspaces menu, click "Load" then select the workspaces you want to load. They will stay in the bottom of that menu.

additionally,i have 15 charts,and when i "tile vertically" it shows me 4 charts.

Once you open a workspace, it will have the workspace appear in the drop down menu. Then you can cycle between them with the hot key you set up.

What method are you using to tile the charts?

right click on nt icon at the bottom of the screen on tile vertically or which ever

Unfortunately this is a windows function. It is not built into NinjaTrader. A "tiling" feature has been suggested for future releases and is being considered.

all my workspaces retain teh same symbol despite construction with dif symbols

not finding the workspace shift hot key setting location?

The Workspace Hot Key setting will be found within the Global settings as referenced in the attached screen shot.
