How do i know from what instrument list ....

Hello,
i have a ticker (say RIG for ex.) in a chart. How do i know from which list this ticker is taken ?

Thank you for your post.

Are you referring to the instrument being availabe in the chart Instrument drop down? If so the list of instrument in the drop down will be a part of the Default Instrument List.

If you are referring to typing an instrument within the window then hitting Enter to load this will be a part of the main Available Master Instrument list in the Instrument Manager.

Hello ChristopherJ,
i've 2 instrument lists, 1 as default and 1 named IB.
I've saved my workspace including a chart about a ticker RIG. Now i want to know how i can see where this ticker come from. From the default or the IB list.
For the rest i know how to add/remove/create etc.. things to or from any instrument list.

Once the instrument is selected this will be pulled from the Available Master Intrument List as far as the Exchange, Mapping, etc.
