Login failed: IB.Adapter.MessageLoop

Hi,

Just setting up for my first login to Interactive Brokers TWS and got the message Login failed: IB.Adapter.MessageLoop No connections could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:7496.

Any idea how to fix that?

Hello David,

Could it be you have TWS 918 or later installed? If so, you will need to install TWS 917 in order to connect to IB in NinjaTrader. Unfortunately TWS 918 and later is not supported and causes connection issues.

Make sure the TWS API settings are configured as per connection guide as well.
