multiple workspaces

if you have multiple workspaces going, do the workspaces that are not selected still gather data and take up memory?

Yes if the Workspace is open in the background this Workspace will continue to use CPU resources and will gather data as well.

Hi - If I have 2 identical workspaces open - does this require twice the processing power? I am in fact wanting to create 2 workspaces with about 12 charts each and the only difference is 2 charts. I could have a 2nd workspace with just the 2 charts but I would like to see everything together. Is this a problem/best way to do it

Hello johnvnwp,

It will take more processing power to run two workspaces than 1. I am not sure if it will exactly be twice the processing power.

Since you like to see everything together, it might be better to use just 1 workspace with 14 charts. You can only have one workspace opened on your monitor(s), additional workspaces are opened in the background.

Multiple workspaces

Thanks Jason - I have a number of charts open and I do not have space to show them all on my 2 monitors with a single workspace. So I have 2 workspaces but all the charts on one of my monitors remain the same and the charts on the 2nd monitor are different in the 2nd workspace. I presume this is the only/best way I can do this since I can't have a different workspace for the 2nd monitor

Yes, unfortunately I do not see a better way. You cannot open two workspaces simultaneously.
