Computer needs Internet Connection all the time?

I am thinking about putting the free version of NT on an old laptop to crunch away at the Genetic optomizer on some very long runs without tying up resources on my desktop.

I know NT goes out to the internet and checks the license on start up.... that's not a problem I can connect to the internet and get it started, but I then need to disconnect the laptop from the internet.

Does NT periodically go out to the internet throughout the day and check the license? or once started, can I finish a long Optimization run with the Laptop disconnected from the internet?

The license is only checked on startup and not periodically throughout the day. You can run the long optimization while disconnected from the internet.
