Is there any information regarding workability of running Ninjatrader on a Linux PC using the WINE windows emulator? Seems like it might be a good idea.

Unfortunately this would not work. Our licensing software will not run on Mono in its current form. Mono is the open source .NET development environment. NinjaTrader uses .NET.
It may work in the future, or you could possibly find a work around. Here is a link to the Mono project : http://www.mono-project.com/Main_Page
You can however use a virtual machine like VirtualBox in Linux and get NinjaTrader to run on it, however such endeavors are unsupported.
