Can't load data from Yahoo and Google for German stocks - please help

    Hi,

after many, many hours of searching in forum and internet I didn't find a solution for connection to Yahoo and Google:

I created a new instrument in the instrument manager:
    Master instrument: BMW.DE
    Instrument type: Stock
    Tick size: 0.01
    Currency: Euro
    Point value: 1,00
    Margin value: 0
    Sim feed start price: 0,00
    Merge policy: UseGlobalSettings
    Session template: Default 24/7
    Symbol map for Google: ETR.BMW
    Symbol map for Yahoo: BMW.DE

Then I connect to Yahoo. Connection works fine.

Now I open a new chart for BMW.DE. After some seconds I get the following message:
Error on loading chart data for 'BMW.DE Xetra'. Failed to retrieve data from YAHOO

With Google I have the same problem.

    I'm using:
    NT 7.0.1000.7 64-Bit
    Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit
I'm using an proxy for connecting to internet.

    Regards
    pelumu

      Hello Brett,

      but NinjaTrader_Jason wrote on 02-17-2011 03:03 AM:

      "Hello Carl,

Please note that only historical daily data is supported with Yahoo.

German stocks are supported as well. For example, once connected to Yahoo please set 'Type' to Stock in the Control Center-->Orders-tab and type BMW.DE in the 'Name' field and hit Enter (see screenshot).

Subsequently the BMW.DE is listed in the Instrument Manager and can be added to one of your instrument lists.

        Hello,

You may be able to map them however as far as how to map them is not supported unfortunately. They use some strange formats that sometimes do and sometimes dont work with NinjaTrader.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
