    how to place stop loss

i have a simple crossover strategy running, i would like to place a simple stop loss at x-cents underneath each buy when my moving averages cross signaling a buy.

what is the stop loss feature at the end of script editor, how does that work.

    Hello bskogz12,

Yes, if you're using the wizard to create your strategy, then the last page is the stops and targets page. You can define your stop loss here and they're automatically applied once you enter a position. If you want it submitted at x-cents from your entry price, use mode ticks and specify where you want it placed. An example of this is available at the following link:

        Hello,

If it is set to Ticks, and you used -8, that would be -8 ticks for that contract. If you're trading a stock or security, that would be equal to -0.08 cents. However i you're trading something like the ES 12-11, 8 ticks would be 2 points.
