Short sales in strategies

Hi,

For my strategy, I try to implement a short sale of an ETF : EWQ(IB) with EnterShort( ) command. It works well with EnterLong() but not with EnterShort. In the case I change the trading instrument for a bear ETF, EnterShort works well. It seems like a type of instrument influences the possibility to execute long or short entry: EnterLong for a normal ETF et EnterShort for a bear ETF. Is there any commande or option that allows NinjaTrader to sell short EWQ in my exemple?

Welcome to the NinjaTrader forums. NinjaTrader does not restrict using EnterShort() but you're right that there could be restrictions depending on the instrument or even if your trading account allows this. If you are unsure, please use Help > Mail to support feature to attach your log / trace files. Also - include a link to this thread.
