Ninja Connection to IB with Market Delta

Im unable to connect to IB TWS while running Market Delta. Can you please help me?

Carlton, what error message are you getting on attempting to connect? Do you know which client id your other software would use? You can change the one NT uses in the account connection setup.

Hi Bert,

When I attempt to connect to IB, I get the usual message from TWS to 'Accept incoming connection'.
Once I click yes I get the following error message

Login Failed: TWS closed socket(No more data to read)

and then I get

TWS forced your connection to close. NinjaTrader is unable to automatically reconnect.

This only happens while I'm running a package you may be familiar with, called MarketDelta.

Carlton, this is likely the issue that your other product is using a connection with a Client Id of 0 as well, so that is then blocked for being available to connect in NT. Can you please check if you could setup your other software to use for example a client id of 1 so you're usual NT connection using a value of 0 could still work?

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm going to try and get MarketDelta to use client ID 1. In the meantime, is it possible to get NT to use client ID 1?

I changed the client ID and it is now working.

Thanks for reporting back Carlton, correct ensuring each application is using a unique client Id would help here.
