I cannot seem to get the send mail function to work. In the from field I using: [email protected]. I put my own email address in the to field and then fill in the subject and text fields. I have left the server field blank in the miscellaneous tab under options and show port as 25. My test messages come though fine. I am using the wizard to implement the send mail function for buy and sell triggers.

Do I need to do something different??

Hello,

You will need to use your own email address and configuration.

If you cannot send an email to support using the default remote SMTP port 25, this would indicate that your ISP or another security program is blocking port 25 from being utilized.


You can use your email or internet providers own SMTP servers as a workaround.


To configure this, please contact your email provider to obtain the required information. Once obtained, you can enter this information under Tools--> Options--> Misc tab


The information needed by your email provider is the following:

• Server: <your email providers SMTP server>
• Port: <the SMTP port>
• SSL: <if yes, check this box>
• User: <Your email username>
• Password: <your email password>

Once you entered this information please press "OK" to apply the settings. Then go back to Tools--> Options--> Misc tab and press "Test" to test these settings.



Note that is critical that you press "OK" before testing the settings.
