can't open or repair NT

Windows XP Pro, NT 7

Initially NT opened this morning but I was unable to connect with MBT. I tried several times, each time restarting the PC, but could not get past the "connecting to MBT" stage. I tried to repair NT but it said the correct file could not be found. After this failed attempt to repair, upon restarting and attempting to open NT I now get the message "NinjaTrader application has encountered a problem and needs to close." I'm guessing a re-install is in order now, but just want to make sure. Thanks.
