setting alerts

Can anyone here tell me how, step by step, how to set an alert for the CCI when it touches a certain level (100-200 etc)? Is it possible? I have tried and it never seems to work

Can you clarify what methods you were using to create this alert? Was this in the market analyzer or were you working in NinjaScript?

Please right click on the Market Analyzer--> select "Columns"--> locate the "Indicators" column and select "new".

From the Indicator Parameters on the right, please click on the the Indicator row and change this from ADL to CCI.

Next, please click on the Alert conditions row and you will want to set a Condition "is greater than or equal to" and a value of "100".

is it possible to set up an alarm cross above like that: "the RSI cross above its moving average"

Yes, this is possible. You would need to take an "indicator of an indicator" in your alerts. You can do so by adding an indicator, then setting its input data-series to another indicator.
