Ordering of the data before import

could you please tell if the tick data imported from text files (last, bid, ask) needs to be ordered and how.

the problem is that you have one file for each contract and I have data split by days in bunches by month.

if say I have Jan, Feb, Mar of ESH11 shall I write into the text files for import in that sequence or can I do it randomly like Mar, Jan, Feb and Ninja will reorder them as it wants on the import?

Hello maxima,

It does not matter which order you import the files, as long as they are dated correctly NinjaTrader will build these in sequence when creating your charts or backtesting.

Just makes sure that the file names are dated with the correct expiry and the time stamps in the txt file itself correspond with the file name.
