    using thread synchronization

    When running backtests, I want each configuration to spill some data into a separate file. To accomplish this, I keep a static sequence number counter which increments by one each time a backtest is complete (in OnTermination()), and append it to the file name.
    As NT is multithreaded, I'm using the lock() method to make sure no two instances get the same sequence number.
    Can this raise any issues?

    Thanks,

    Boaz

    Hi boaza,

    This is more C# related than NinjaScript, so unfortunately our support will be limited. If the counter increments in OnTermination(), would suspect you could run into an issue if running multiple tests at the same time. May want to use OnStartup() for this, or consider a nonstatic unique ID, like with C# GetUniqueID(). I also ran into this dedicated method which may be useful:
