pre-market and after hours data on chart

Hi,

I would like to execute a strategy on pre-market and after hours data. In the orders tab I'm receiving data but in the chart I can only see data from regular hours. I use the default 24/7 template.

Is this normal? If I open a strategy on the strategies tab based on pre-market and after hours data will this execute correctly? even if the data doesn't appear on the chart?

Hello guillembm,

This would depend if your strategy requires any historical data or if it is real-time only. If historical data is required, you should ensure you have data for this session.

Can you please clarify who you connect to for data? What instruments are you only seeing the RTH session?

I connect to esignal (first) and IB. I use euronext stocks and for all I tested so far data is not displayed on charts but on I receive it on the orders tab (i.e. BNP, ING, SAN)

Do you get overnight data for these symbols in eSignal or TWS?

If you connect to IB before eSignal, do you see the same results?
