IB Friends And Family

I am setting up a Friends and Family account at Interactive Brokers. You can trade multiple accounts from one login.

I asked IB if NT would allow me to see and select an individual account from the FF account. There said I needed to ask NT?

Thanks for the forum post.

Yes NinjaTrader will see each account as there own account. However the group account function in IB is not supported. You have to submit trades manually to each account or use NinjaTraders account grouping.

I am a little confused. Let's say I have 3 IB accounts. Are you saying I have to pull up 3 TWS platforms to trade from any account? I am aware that NT recognizes multiple accounts from the chart trader pulldown.

I would prefer to use the friends and family account as I only have to pay one market fee.

Explain the NinjaTrader Account grouping???? How does that allow me to trade multiple accounts?

Hello,

You can connect to an FA account and it will pull in each account as a single account.

Please see this link for the NT Account grouping (Account grouping is only for when you want to trade once and have that trade go to multiple accounts at once, REMINDER: IB's account grouping is not supported in NinjaTrader).

I can confirm that this is on development list to look into possibly adding into NinjaTrader to the next major release of the software. Unfortunately this is something that there is no release date on except for some time into the future.
