getting data feed

Good morning.
I'm new to using Ninja, and I'm wondering how to get data on my charts. I was under the impression that I could practice using the platform, with the Simulated Data Feed but
obviously that's not the case. The only thing I get is a grey chart but no candles at all.
It's hard to practice this way. Should I connect to a live data feed before I can NInja in the first place?

Thanks for posting.

If you're OK with the randomly generated data which the simuated feed provides, it should work for testing. Based on the time you posted, I'd expect that this particular issue has to do with session template settings excluding data.

To retrieve 24/7 data on a chart, please follow the directions below.

• Right click in your chart and select Data Series.
• In the Data Series menu, set the "Session Template" property to "Default 24/7", then click OK.
