    Need help recovering NT backup

I have been running NT 7 - 0.2 with an extensive libarary of my own indicators and strategies. Unfortunately I had a hard drive crash. After installing the latest version of NT on a new machine, I have discovered that I cannot restore my NT 7 - 0.2 backup.

    Can you please assist?

    Hi Jbill,

    Thanks for posting.

Are you seeing an error message pop up when attempting to restore your backup? If so, what does that error report?

      Hello!

Please see screen shot of message here:

Also, the original machine was running XP, and so is the new one.

        Hi Jbill,

        Thanks for providing that image.

Do you have another copy of the backup to try here?

I still have the backup, yes.

            Hi Jbill,

Sorry for the confusion - I meant, do you have a different file to try. This backup will not work, I'm afraid.

I have backups from three previous weeks. I tried them all. I get the same message.

So 4 of 4 different backup archives all produce the same message.

                Hi Jbill,

Sorry to hear of that. Unfortunately, I don't have a way to bring those files in to working order. That said, I'd be happy to try one of the backups here to confirm that the issue is the backup itself and not some sort of local setting. If you're interested in that, please let me know and I'll provide you with additional instructions.

I eventually was able to access the previous hard drive and I simply copied the "My Documents/Ninja Trader 7" directory to the new machine. It appears I was able to recover all my indicators, strategies, and workspaces.

                  Thanks for your time.
