Yet another connection loss-question

I think a software framework itself should never - never ever - close a position. The decision when to close a position should *always* be left up to the trader/strategy programmer. But we can leave that aside.

In my case the strategy position matched the account position exactly. So is it possible to configure NT in a way not to close my positions in a situation like that?

You can set RealTimeErrorHandling to TakeNoAction, and custom code error handling.
