Ghost Trade

I just activated a live NT license and connected to IB account. NT login default was Sim101. I turned off global simulation and checked to see if my IB connection was okay in the Superdom. I switched the trade mode from Sim101 to my IB account and it showed it was connected. I go to close out NT and I received a message I still had an open position. I I checked the positions tab and it showed I had an open USD/CAD Forex Pair??? I flattened the position and noted I sold $10007 USD/CAD at 0.9879??? I checked my IB account and sure enough this was a reality? What just happened???
