Is it better to run NT on a different partition?

Was thinking of getting an SSD for my new PC and partitioning it three ways.
First partition would only contain the operating system.
Second partition would contain all the other programs and files.
Third partition would contain NT7 and a few other trading related programs.

Would it be better and more efficient to run NT7 this way for both backtesting and live trading vs. having everything on just one partition?
Are there other things to be considered?

Unfortunately, I am not sure which way would be better to run NinjaTrader. We have not tested NinjaTrader on a SSD using three partitions that way.

When one partition is used (C:\), NinjaTrader will install files in the C:\-->Program Files folder and C:\-->Users-->*Windows user account*-->My Documents-->NinjaTrader 7 folder.

Am I correct the third partition will have a "Users-->*Windows user account*-->My Documents-->NinjaTrader 7" folder as well. If not, I am not sure if installing NinjaTrader in the third partition will work.

I don't think partitioning 1 drive 3 ways gets u anything.

You're better off with 3-4 drives. Windows pagefile on 1, OS on 1, FireFox/ie cache on another, and NT on another.

Partioning a ssd - I definitely have cause for.concern.. considering what the controller keeps track.of (reads/writes). You better Google on that some.

I run NT from a SSD drive for faster startup times but because I have seen SSD's just stop working with no way to recover any data, I have assigned my Documents to a HD partition. If my SSD boot drive fails I still have all indicators, templates etc. on my mechanical drive.
