Can NinjaTrader plot Bid Volume and Ask Volume?

Say bid volume in indicator panel one and ask volume in indicator panel 2? If not, does anyone know of any indicators that you can purchase from outside vendors that will do this in NT?

    Thanks for any answers.

Oh, if NT can not do this then why not?

    Hello,

    Thanks for the note.

Yes this can be done, do you specifically need it in two different panels or can they be in one panel?

I look forward to assisting you further.

      Hi

I would like the bid volume in one panel and the ask volume in a different panel.

      Thanks

        Hi BottomShark77,

        Thanks for clarifying.

When applying the Vol indicator, please utilize the 'Input Series' property to select the bid/ask price.

From here, you'd simply need to create a new panel for each version of the indicator using the Panel property in the Indicators menu.

          Hi

Well I am trying to do what you say but the only choices I have to pick from in the input Series is: Close, High, Low, Median, Open, Typical and Weighted.

          What am I doing wrong?

          Thanks

Maybe picking high and low gives the ask and bid volumes?

              Hi BottomShark77,

Pardon my oversite - you'd first need to add a data series which provided the Bid data and another which provided the Ask data.

Please add a new instance of the instrument you're charting in the Data Series menu. In that menu, set the 'Price Based on' property to bid or ask.

Once the data series has been added, you'll be able to base the Vol indicator off of it using the Input Series parameter.

I'd recommend hiding the bid and ask data series by making the following changes in the Data Series menu:
Color for Up Bar = Transparent
Color for Down Bar = Transparent
              Candle Outline = Transparent
              Wick Color = Transparent
              Panel = 1

No, that's not working... Both are giving the same volume live as we speak...

I am not getting what I am looking for. I want price (candles) in the top pane. (Charting area) and Bid volume in indicator panel 1 and ask volume in indicator panel 2 below the charting area (so everything is all in one chart) Can't seem to get this...

                      Hi BottomShark77,

Can you provide me with an image of the chart you have at the moment so I can provide more specific instructions on your next steps?
To send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CRTL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.
