    Adding new strategy

    Hi Folk
When I try to add a new strategy to NT7 it does not recognise the presence of the new one but continues to use the existing one already present. I add the new one by pasting the cs file to the directory. I try to edit the new one and again, I get the original one being edited. I have a different strategy name in 'description' and 'public class'.

My question is how can I add another strategy to the list and have the program recognise and use the new one.

(I have tried to find the answer in posts already lodged but the list is now so vast that it is difficult to find anything! I hope this newbie query does not annoy anyone.)

Hi scartree, what directory are you pasting the .cs files into? It should be My Documents/NinjaTrader 7/bin/custom/strategy. If you attach the strategy here, I'll take a look at what could be going on.

      Adding a new Strategy

Hi Austin, Thanks for the response. I am filing to the correct directory. I found a solution in BigMikesTrading. For those interested, a suggestion is as follows:

Copy the cs file to the appropriate folder.

Then re-import the zip file of an indicator (any).

This triggers an intellisense reload of all cs files.

The copied cs file is now selectable from the charts menu.

      This works for me.
