Entries per Direction

Hi jtfancher,
EntriesPerDirection works closely with EntryHandling property. When handling is set to unique entries, then it allows x entries per direction for every uniquely named rule. So you could have 10 entries if you have two named rules. If you only want to allow 5 entries total regardless of rule names, change entry handling to all entries.

Hello,
We would either need the script that you are experiencing issues with, or if you can create an example script using the same methods in your custom script which exhibits this issue.
We will need to review the properties you are using as well as the methods used.
If you do not want to publish your custom script, you can provide us with an example which also experiences these issues you are reporting.MatthewNinjaTrader Product Management

Thanks - it a very simple script using the Wizard to capture a change in bar direction:
If market position is flat and close < open then short
If market position is flat and close > open then long
If market position is long and close < open then short
If market position is short and close > open then long
Take profit at 10 pips using Renko 8 bar charts.
That's it and I am getting multiple entries about 20% of the time - even though I have entries per direction set at 1 for all entries.

EntriesPerDirection works fine in all our tests here and we have not heard similar reports that there is an issue with it.
If you have a case where it's not working as you expect, can you please break down the exact steps needed so we can see this on our end. Some screenshots of what you're looking at will be helpful as well. Thank you.
To send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CRTL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

How to chart bid/ask along with close for a symbol
I am new to NJ, but have not been able to see how to plot bid/ask along with price data on the chart. (In TradeStation it is simply an analysis technique that plots along with price in the same panel)
Thanks

Hi MarketVelocity,
Thanks and welcome to NinjaTrader. Unfortunately, this is only possible with custom programming. You can use methods GetCurrentBid() and GetCurrentAsk() into your NinjaScript indicator plots.
More control is available working with OnMarketData() stream.
