I would like to take an instrument, and invert its price so that I get a mirrored image of it. Would I need to code an indicator to do this, or is there an easier way?

This would be possible, but would require custom programming.
There is a thread of plotting expressions / spreads which should get you started in the right direction if this indicator does not do exactly what you are looking for:
