Thank you for your post.

As most clusters utilize one system as a database and others to process the data for distributed computing. This type of setup will not be possible with NinjaTrader 7 as it uses SQL compact edition for its database which has to reside on the local system and not a remote system of any kind.

What about nonSQL clusters? Will it work? Such as renting a CPU cluster from Amazon (EC2)?

Should work as long as programs running on it would see the one CPU or multiple and had the one database and for all purposes emulated windows environment that NinjaTrader can run on which is our minimum PC requirements with .net framework. However this setup is largely untested.

Sounds great... would there be a limit to how many cores Ninja is designed for? Or does multicore really mean "all cores" (some of the clusters on the net are hundreds or thousands of small CPU cores...)

I have not had anyone hit a limitation on cores at this time. However again you are in untested arena. Please report back if you had success with this and I will let others that have the same question know of your success.
