Backtesting Historical Data

Hi All,

I have ES historical data by Contract Qtr from 2 suppliers An Futures and Norgate.
With both I see problems with getting into Ninja format for Backtesting.
What is the best way to get these into Ninja format?
Which one is best to start with getting into Ninja format?

Wontbackdown, the format for importing data into NinjaTrader can be found in the "Understanding import file and data formats" section listed on this page - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h.../importing.htm. You can convert the data however you want. The easiest way though would be to get the data from a broker/data provider supported by NinjaTrader.

Thanks Austin, has there being any surveys on the accuracy of Kinetick data?

I have not seen any such surveys, but our Kinetick users are generally very happy with the quality of the data.

I see that Kinetick only goes back 2 yrs in intraday data. Is this true?

Which data provider has longer amount of intraday data?

Hi there, I just tried to load 5000 days of data for Apple, and it went back to late April in 2007, which would be 4+ years of data.

The list of supported data providers can be found in the "Understanding the data..." section on this page - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...rical_data.htm. Off the top of my head, eSignal would probably have more data, but it is quite a bit more expensive as well.
