Can't connect to IB API

Just setting up Ninja7/Ninja7x64. I am relatively new with Ninja so please be kind. Can't get either to connect to my Interactive Brokers API. Get the following message:

Login failed: IB.Adapter.StartTws: can't find registry key 'Trader Workstation'.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I wish there was chat to talk me thru this. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

PS are indicators from version 6.5 usable or migrateable to ver 7?

1.) Which build of TWS are you using? To check, please click Help > About Trader Workstation.

2.) Some indicators will remain usable, but others will require either a new version or some adjustments to the existing code in order to run.

TWS Build 918.8
Java Version 1.6.0_26

I spoke with IB Tech and they said the issue appeared to be on your end. Any help appreciated!

With the current release of NinjaTrader, it is critical that you use TWS build 917.8.

Please uninstall your existing TWS version, then install TWS 917.8 via our connection guide: http://www.ninjatrader.com/Connectio...tion-Guide.php
