Indicators update real-time

Hi-
Is there a way to turn on the function of having my indicators, ie BBands and Stoch to update real-time for the current bar according to the price of the current bar?

right now, the indicator only updates after it switches over to the next bar.

Hopefully, this makes sense.

Yes you can have the indicator update real time. Please open your indicator window and set Calculate on bar close to False then click Ok.

so I made the change you suggested, but I don't see any change to the indicator bar updating any more frequent than on close of the bar. I was expecting that the indicator line would extend over the current bar (Bbands and stoch) and change real-time as the price changed.

With Calculate on Bar Close set to False the indicator should update during the current bar. Do you see the indicator plotted on the current bar as referenced in the attached screen shot? If not please open your indicator window and confirm the indicator settings.

what you show is what I want, but no it is not showing that way on my screen. I did check that update data on bar close is set to false. I even restarted NT7

Are the indicators you are applying 3rd Party indicators or Default indicators installed with NinjaTrader?

Log file will be located by going to Documents->NinjaTrader 7 >Log->log.YYYYMMDD.txt
