Wow, Its really easy to delete a security in the Instrument Manager, and a real pain

in the ass to put it back again.

i accidently clicked on the delete button when NQ was highlighted in the instrument manager

it got deleted don't know how to put it back on.


furthermore, I had that instrument in about 20 other instrument groups, and its been deleted from all of them.

can someone give me an idiot proof way to put it back on. that damn dialogue box with having to attach it to a exchange and assigning it a map value is friggin confusing.

Thank you for your post.

You have 2 options to have the instrument back:
- Add it back manually by clicking the New button and entering all contract specifics in the Definition and Misc tab
- Reset your instruments under Tools--> Options--> Data tab--> Reset Instruments. Downside for this is that it will reset back to its default settings which means that all manually set up and customized contracts will be gone or reset as well.
