    Forex Trading Issue

    Hello Support,

I have second connection to IB for cash forex.
    1. Why is that the DOM does not show the bid ask queues ?
Also it does not report last done price on the DOM for which I use background color yellow for easy identification. Because of this it is difficult to see the price level when the queues are not there and last done also not reported.
I saw it is available on level II.

    2. A separate issue is that when I want to sell my long position by hitting the bid, it takes forever to get filled, even with bid price moving higher. I saw order book has millions qty at the bid level I hit. I can only get out by Closing, which is immediate but give me 1 or 1.5 pips (that is 2 to 3 ticks) below the bid! Why is that ?

If other traders could relate my experience in 2 or to the contrary, feel free to share.
I would like to know good Forex broker to trade via NT7.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Edward K.

    Hello Edward,

    1. Unfortunately, this is as expected. When forex instruments are selected in the Dynamic SuperDOM, you cannot set 'Show market depth' to True. The fact no last traded price is reported is as expected as well.

    2. Please note that execution is done on the broker side. Once orders 'receive a 'Working' or 'Accepted' order status, the order resides at the broker/exchange on most occassions. Please see the link below for more information.
Note: This information is relevant for NinjaTrader 7 only. For NinjaTrader 8, please click here (https://ninjatrader.com/support/helpGuides/nt8/where_do_your_orders_reside_.htm). CQG Orders in a state "Accepted" or "Working" are at the exchange. If the exchange does not support a specific order type, the

I suggest to contact your broker why orders are executed that way.

If the order remains in a PendingSubmit status for a long time, please let me know.

      Hello Jason,

My first question is rather, why NT need to make such constraints for Forex instruments? It is NOT good for users. Can you suggest it to development to fix it? Name it special Forex DOM or whatever, I am sure you will be greatly appreciated.

I will scrutinize my second issue execution.

      Thanks.

      Regards.

          Hello Jason,

          Thank you very much.
How would I find out if it is or is not going to be implemented?

          Best regards.

          Edward K.

Your suggestion to support market depth data for forex instruments in the SuperDOM is present in our tracking system for future enhancements as ID# 123
