PFG API not connecting - NT will not open

Hi,

I am trying to start up my NT7 as usual this morning, but it will just not open. I click the application and no windows open, no Control Centre, nothing - I thought at first I didnt click the APPlication properly so clicked it again, then I got a message saying "you can not have 2 versions of NT running at the same time" etc etc.

So, I restarted Windows etc, and tried again. Same deal, NT just isn´t opening.

Then I noticed that the PFG API isn´t connecting, its flashing yellow/blue on the PFG API logo, and says "not connected" when hovering over it. So, it seems the PFG API is trying to connect and won´t, and whilst it is "thinking about it" NT will not actually open (I have NT set to connect to PFG automatically on opening).

So, is there some way I can stop the PFG API starting when NT is opening, so that I can investigate what the problem is ? I assume that if NT does not try to connect to the PFG API, then it will just open normally...

Any advice ?

Hello ScottieDog,

Can you please go to (My) Documents-->NinjaTrader 7, right click the Config.xml file and open it using Notepad. Please set <ConnectOnStartup> to false as per your PFG connection. Please see the screenshot for an example.

Save the file and check if you can start NinjaTrader as expected.
