Backtesting Sample does not do anything

Dear reader,

Thanks for reading my question.

I am trying to do a backtest on one of the sample strategies that comes with NT. I have downloaded historical data for ES 9-11 but when I click the "Start Backtest" from the Strategy Analyzer button, i get the "Backtest" running screen for 2 seconds and then nothing happens. I see no simulated trades and nothing on the summary window. Just all zero's.

What am I doing wrong?

What interval are you running the back test on?

Who are you connect to for data? This is displayed in the bottom left hand corner of the control center.

For now I use the Kinetic Free EOD historical data. I run it on a daily timeframe on a span of 1/1/2011 to today.

I just watched the backtesting video on your website. For some reason now it's working. I have no idea what I did different this time.

I think I know what the problem is. I try to run a backtest on $EURUSD but then it fails (showing no results). When I run it on ES 9-11 or any of the default symbols it seems to run fine.

Note: I have downloaded five days of intraday EURUSD data from my broker so I have historical data.

Can you clarify the intraday time frame you are trying to run? Is it minute or tick?

What interval did you download for the EURUSD?
