IB HMDS data farm connection

I have some connection issues which I can use your insight on.

It regards the IB TWS HMDS data farm connection. Every day at 5:55 this connection is broken. Although I do not use it in any strategy (it is Forex data right?) all my running strategies were disabled because of this lost connection.
It is further rather strange as I use Kinetick data as primary feed and TWS as secundary and ordering feed and I can't see that Kinetick was disconnected, but the strategies were disabled at this very same time.

Can you explain the daily connection loss at exact the same time and only on the HMDS data? Is this IB TWS side or mine? Recently I had the same kind connection issues with the overall Kinetick feed. This was solved by bypassing my trading pc for DHCP lease renewel of the router with a fixed IP address what lies outside the DHCP range. All problems were solve, untill this HMDS connection is shown daily and now also deactivates my strategies.

I also tried to mail you from within Ninjatrader, so I could attach the log and trace files, but this errors because of smpt settings and the mail just stalls.

Thanks for the forum post.

I am aware of an IB daily disconnect requirement they enforce that could be what your seeing, I would not expect it at this time however unless your are in a time zone of GMT +5 or more. What time zone are you located in?

Also, since the Kinetick connection remains but the IB connection goes down this tells me it is specific to IB. What is important here is to take NT out of the equation here when this happens.

What I'd like for you to do is check inside the TWS application at this time. Do you see the TWS connection indicator in the bottom right also go down at this time? If so it is either the daily disconnect or it is some issue with IB's TWS going down. If IB's TWS goes down NinjaTrader would then follow suite. Therefor you would then need to invistigate with IB on why there TWS is going down.

Thank you for your swift respons.

The disconnection is daily and exactly at the same time, but I do not think it is the required TWS disconnection. I have set this manually at 22:15 and is bypassed by third party software, so I am connected 24/7. The TWS connection indicator goed orange sometimes, not completely offline to red.
What remarks me is that it is only the HMDS connection which goes down. I have normally four connections (one other HMDS and two future connections). The latter are most important to me and stay connected. The disconnection of the one HMDS farm encountered the disabling of all strategies. And that is what is strange in my opinion. Especially while Kinetick is still up and running.

Yesterday however Kinetick lost connection also, but connected within a few minutes. NT did not do anything with the new data feed and prices as well as charts were not updating. This while the connection indicator in NT for both Kinetick as TWS were green. I had to restart NT to get it back running with the data feed working.

I will set my alarm at 5;55 next Monday and look live what is happening. I am in GMT +1. I'll let you know.
