    Charts not uppdating

    Hi,

    I started NT and there is a gap in charts between yesterdays close and now.Reload historical data is greyed out so I can't reload.
    I use NT 6.5.1000.19 with Zenfire and Mirus.I tried to reset DB and restard NT but I have the same problem.Thank you.

    We are investigating an issue right now currently that affects 6.5 users regarding historical data.

    Unfortunately I have no further information at this time.

    You may want to check back in an hours and I may have more information.

    To restate, we are aware of this issue and are looking to resolve it as soon as possible.

      Jurase,

      I would like to provide an update.

      We had resolved the historical data issue with NinjaTrader 6.5.

      Please restart NinjaTrader and reload your charts.

      Let me know if this does not resolve your issue.

          is this the same issue?

          Hi,
          I have NT on a trial and have an issue with the charts providing live
          data updates. If I toggle between daily and 60 min I will get the
          latest data. When I initiate a new chart and use the bid or ask
          functions I do not get a chart. I can only get a chart by using 'price
          based on last'. Can you please advise on how to correct this problem?

            This is not related to this issue in the original post.

            However, to assist you further, could you tell me the following:
            - What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About

            - Who are you connected to? This is displayed by green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.

            - What instrument have you selected?

            - Is there an error message listed in the Log tab of the Control Center? If errors are found, please report.

              Thanks Cameron.
              I have a connected in the log file. On the control panel I have a green PFG - that is who I am connected to. The log says; PFG: primary connection - connected, data feed - connected.
              I have NT 7.1000.4

                Unfortunately PFG does not support historical bid/ask data. This is why you do not receive historical bid/ask charts.

                  Thanks Cameron. I am not sure what you are saying. I am just looking for a constant update on the data without having to toggle between different time frames. Are you saying PFG does not offer live data and the charts won't provide up to date information?

                    Since PFG does not support historical Bid/Ask data you would only receive historical charts based on the 'Last' price.

                      Hi Cameron,
                      I will get the whole chart reproduced when I toggle between time frames. The difference is whatever the quoted price is on any chart, gc, cl ... the price will update to the latest price. I would like to know if the chart can be set up so the prices automatically update to the latest price without having to toggle time frames? eg. es price on any time frame is showing 1272.50. when I switch to a different time frame it will update to the most recent price which could be 1273.00. In order to have the chart update to the most recent price quotes I have to toggle between time frames on any instrument. 6E was just showing 1.4110. when I went to a different time frame it updated to 1.4127. I would just like to look at the chart in my preferred time frame and know the price quoted is the most recent.

                        Can you confirm that you are receiving live data for these instruments in the Orders tab of the Control Center or SuperDOM?

                        Regarding ES, the actual price could have updated while the chart was changing intervals.
                        However the 6E movement you mentioned is rather dramatic.

                          Hi Cameron,
                          The issue is the charts only update when I change time frames. I have opened a chart in currency which is updating. When I go to the Orders tab and move between futures and currency, currency will show bid ask last figures and futures will show n/a.

                            Thanks for the clarification, it could be that your account is not enable for Futures data.

                            Please contact your broker to verify what your account is enabled for.
