Perhaps you can merge the data of the two instruments together? That way you will have the historical data on your Patsystem's instrument and have it update in real time. http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/H...eV6/Merge.html

With two charts I have separate problems.
Chart 1 uses the instrument connected to Patsystems (my first connection), so it is updated real time but has no history.

Chart 2 uses the instrument connected to IB (my second connection), it has history but is not updated real time.

How do I get my chart to use both instruments, i.e., the first one from Patsystems (uses exchange SFE) and has no history, and the second one from IB (uses exchange SNFE) which has the history? My chart only allows me to choose one of the copycat instruments.

You then would need to create a 100% copycat of your instrument and assign it a different exchange.

started a topic Same instrument, different exchanges

    Same instrument, different exchanges

I have two brokers (BrokerOne and IB) that both support the Australian SPI, except BrokerOne does not provide historical data as it uses Patsystems.
I have set BrokerOne as my first connection, followed by IB for historical data. This works fine for all my US instruments except for the Australian SPI.

I believe the problem may be that BrokerOne uses SFE as the exchange, and IB uses SNFE as its exchange (see the exchange choice settings under the Instument Editor).

When I connect to both BrokerOne and IB, I get real-time data from BrokerOne, but no history from IB. Is this because of the different exchanges being used by each broker? In reality, I believe it is the same Sydney Futures Exchange, except these brokers use a different name for the same exchange.

    Any help would be appreciated.
