Importing futures data

Hi,

I'm trying to import daily data of a continious contract.
I don't want it to be changed during rollover dates in the future.
I created a new futures instrument for that.
I formated the data as described in the help file and got a message stating that
data import was succesful. However, when I try to open a chart using that instrument it
doesn't display anything.
I used SP_P_DAILY_TXT.Last.txt as the filename and set the instrument name
to SP_P_DAILY_TXT. Expiration date I set to ##.##
This one didn't work.
I tried as well: SP_P_DAILY.Last.txt as filename and SP_P_DAILY as instrument name. Expiration date I set again to ##.##.
Didn't work as well.


Can anyone please provide an example/step by step reference using my name conventions that works for sure in terms of displaying data in a chart?

Thanks for the forum post.

I believe you have a ticket open on this in email as well. No need to open multiple tickets on the same issue.

As mentioned in the email.

You would need to include the expiry ##-## in the name of the import file.

For example: IUf your instrument name is SP_P

SP_P ##-##.Last.Txt

will do the trick, now pulling up the ##-## expiry you will see the data.
