    External monitor issue

When I'm trading from home, I have my laptop hooked up to an external monitor. When I unplug it and need to trade from say a coffee shop, Ninja does not allow me to see the charts that normally populate on the external monitor.

It shows the charts as active, but I'm unable to view them. I can only view them when I go back home and plug the monitor back in.

The only fix I can figure out is that before I log off from home, if I unplug my monitor all ninja charts populate onto my primary laptop screen, and then I have to save that configuration.

What's going on? Why can't Ninja recognize that the external monitor isn't attached?

I'm using Windows 7 Pro, an HDMI connected monitor and latest ver of NT7.

    Hi dolomike,

    Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately, what you've mentioned here is as expected. The other charts would remain in the position of the second monitor, even if that monitor is not connected. A change here is being considered but in the meantime, you might consider using two different workspaces.

You can bring the invisible window into the current viewspace.
      1. Make the window active by clicking on it in the taskbar
      2. Press Alt+Space+m. This activates the menu item to "Move" the window.
      3. Use the right/left/up/down arrows to bring the window into the current view space.

You could try out this powerful tool:

It allows to relocate windows matched by a template: defining an x/y offset, a monitor #,etc..

Add a New Layout, set the X/Y offset, add Windows, check 'if process name is', write down 'NinjaTrader',set relocate to screen # (-1,0,1: your choice),and finaly Test!
